Replacing Oil Pump

After chasing some on-track oil pressure issues, going to upgrade to a Melling 10296 pump after acammer's recommendation.

What else should I do while I am in there?
I realize doing probably 1/2 to 3/4 of a cam swap job, but I don't think I will go down that slippery slope right now.

Is there any other recommended upgrades/updates I can do in this process?

You can plug the oil pan pressure relief valve.

Don't think the 1Les have a relief. Isn't that only on the L99s?

Timing chain and tensioner can be changed as well

I'm not sure Joshmn my zl1 has it. I was assuming they all had it.

I'm probably wrong, but I thought pretty much all the gen 4 motors have them, regardless of DOD or not. I researched this a while back and that is what I found then.

To OP, don't forget new gaskets and seals in addition to what the others mentioned. It would be a good time for an underdrive pulley.

I was going to say maybe the timing chain and tensioner but I wouldn't probably mess with it at 60k miles unless you were doing a cam swap. Maybe a good time to upgrade your harmonic balancer and plug that darn relief valve in the pan for more top end oil psi.

Thank you all for the info!
And this is exactly why I didn't want to venture down the "Cam Swap" road...

Initially, in my GPI shopping cart was just the oil pump.
Now its:

- Melling Select - High Volume High Pressure 8 GPM LS Oil Pump (10296)
- PowerBond - 2010-2015 Camaro SS & 99+ LSx Truck Underdrive Pulley Kit (PBU1190-SS25)
- PULLEY BOLT (OPTIONAL):
ARP - CRANKSHAFT DAMPER BOLT FOR LS, GEN V LT1 AND LT4 WET SUMP ENGINES (234-2503)
- MAIN BELT (OPTIONAL):
SERPENTINE BELT FOR 25% UNDERDRIVE PULLEY FOR 5TH GEN CAMARO W/ ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (060780)
- A/C BELT (OPTIONAL):
A/C BELT FOR UNDERDRIVE PULLEY (K040350)
- Chevrolet Performance LS Oil Pan 2010-2015 LS3/L99 Camaro/G8 (I figured this would be a good time to do a baffled oil pan for my road course time.)
- OEM Style - Timing Cover Gaskets (12633904)
- GPI - OEM Style LS2 / LS3 Timing Chain Dampener (12588670) Not for Use in Dry Sump Engines

That is a great point! I could just get the baffles, not the whole pan.
