Peeling clear coat question

While my 2013 was maintained religiously by the one owner it had before me, it’s clear the car probably sat outside it’s whole life. I have one spot of clearcoat missing on the driver side rear wheel arch, roughly the size of my fist. Anybody encountered this and what to expect from a paint shop to have it fixed?

It can either be completely stripped and repainted, or this area sanded then blended.

Your cost will depend on what the averages are in your area.

car has definitely had paint work sadly. No simple solution. previous paint work needs to be stripped to at least the factory basecoat

I had a section of this on the hood. Previous owner had an accident and replaced and painted the hood, one fender, and the front facia. They recommended taking it down to bare metal. The previous fix didn't bond well (although only the hood showed clear coat loss) and they wouldn't warranty the new paint without a better base. It was $1200 for the hood. Much easier to do the hood than blend in a quarter panel, so take that into consideration.
