I've had both coated and uncoated. I definately like the coated better. Uncoated, my engine compartment felt like a blast furnace after a long drive. I also got stuck once in a long stop and go parade.... clutch pedal started sticking to the floor after the clutch hyd line got screaming hot from the header heat. Looks really don't matter to me, you can hardly see the headers on this car anyway. Blueing bare stainless or coated looks fine to me, I just like the less heat from the coated.
