Powdercoat price for rims?

Local shop is asking $100 per wheel. That includes removing and reinstalling the tire. Good price? Thoughts? Looking at gloss black. Possibly a small orange ring around the outside.

That's the price I was quoted from a mobile alloy repair shop to fix my curb rash. I asked about complete repaint and they also indicated $100 a wheel, not sure if it would be powdercoating or not. I elected to wait because I wasn't sure if I wanted the two fixed I have rash on or if I wanted to go black on all four.

In other words, it seems reasonable to me so long as they do good work.

That's a very good price for a dismount and remount included.

You found a powder coater that has a wheel machine for 20's?
If so jump on it. Most guys don't do that, you have to bring it to them ready to be prepped.

I was quoted $150 a wheel and I had to bring the rims to them unmounted about 6 months ago. I ended up getting new wheels and selling my stock rims for cheaper than the powder coat and tire mount/remount would have cost!

At a powder shop here in CT, a state where everything is ridiculously expensive, I just dropped mine off last Monday at $80 a wheel. That only included media blasting and the powdercoating. I took the tires/weights off before I went and will need to go to a specialty tire shop to have them remounted and not marked up. Prob another $30 per wheel.

I would say excellent price, my cost 250 a wheel. Yes it was more because it was a speciality color but getting the common black wheel like everyone else does was still 200 a wheel.

Great price if they remove and remount tires. It's $80 per wheel in my area but they don't remove or remount the tires.

my local guy does it for $60 but they have to have the tires removed before. so if you calculate the tire removal and re installation and balancing your price is good

That's the price I paid. I got it done in Blue Ash.
