2009 Mustang GT Premium - $35,445
2009 Challenger R/T J Package - $36,155
I just checked the Ford website. A 2009 Mustang GT premium coupe is $28,375 base price + $795 delivery - $1500 rebate = $27,670.

Not saying the Camaro isn't worth it, but that's a huge price difference, when you're looking as $34,180 for a 2SS.

Brembos, 400+HP, HID Halos, heated leather seats, 20s!! I think pricing is right in line. Remember this is also MSRP. I've never paid MSRP on any car I've bought EVER and I've bought a few.
for what you get for 35K there's nothing out there that can compete now and if you just want the performance the 1SS comes with everything you need... i just wonder how an aftermarket piece like a D3 would fit in that dash, but no steering wheel controls in the 1SS makes integration easier.

While its true that we always have to pay more, to get an idea on what we will be paying compare dodge.com to dodge.ca and look at the Challenger, and also go to chevrolet.ca and chevrolet.com and look at Impalas. I just looked and based on Impala SS pricing, the Camaro SS could be as low as 35000.

The prices posted today are pretty much what I expected them to be! This will not change my plans for ordering in the late spring as I've always figured on getting a 2LT/RS. With 13% tax up here in Ontario ( Yes that's 8% Provincial and 5% Federal ) along with high insurance rates too! However much that I wanted a SS, I just don't think it would've been a practical choice for me especially when it requires "Premium Fuel" to run at these times when gas prices seem to keep soaring up! No, for me, it will be a LT/RS with the following options:
Imperial Blue Metallic
Light Grey Interior ( Cloth 1LT or Leather 2LT )
Single White Stripe on Hood and Trunk w/ White Hockey Stripes down the side.
Automatic Trans w/ TAPshift
Power Sunroof
Front Ground Effects ONLY in IBM to match the body or Satin Black.
Blade Spoiler
Air box performance filter system
Plus many more options as they become available!

OMG... its a thousand more than 30k....

crimany people.

750 of that is in the delivery charge.

not to mention.... does MSRP include taxes? no.

so even if it was going to be priced at $29,995.00 would it really make that big of a difference? no.

you guys are all freaking out about nothing.

That's for the 1LT. If you have a manual tranny it's only $465 but if you get the auto tranny and get that option it's more as the auto also comes with remote start.

[QUOTE=Screw991le;155285]Sorry but the prices are to high for the average person. No one is going to spend up wards of $35k for an SS.
With tight credit and a recession, no one is going to be able to get them.

I AM. 2SS/RS with options, I expect to hit around $38,750 give or take a couple hundred. I was actually expecting to pay closer to $40,000. As a true Camaro enthusiast who's been waiting for this a long time, I'm all over it. Waiting on my salesman to call right now so I can put my order in. I will Drive my new Camaro proudly and smile at all the people staring at a beautiful car. I doubt I will ever complain about the price. Have you actually looked at the list of standard equipment?

No, that package includes a remote start on the auto only, not available with the 6-speed, thats why the package is cheaper for the stick.

Doh, beat me to it!

No, there are two different prices for conv and conectivity package. One for manual, one for automatic (~$600). the manual transmission itself is 'free' with the car
