Has anyone used TSP for porting their LSA heads?

No but I am interested in them. I’m in the market for heads and a cam along with a bottom end... just looking for some ideas! And what the beat route would be. I’m thinking about going to a 416ci if my cylinder wall is messed up from what ever broke in the #6 cylinder.

Texas Speed has a great porting program. Their heads make excellent power and we use them on most of our builds. We recommend them and you can order them from us as well.

you can also check out Frankenstein. I was really happy with their options. They also have great customer service.

Hello,
I sent mine to them with BBR springs and upgraded valves, the porting was nice, but I hand ported the exhaust ports to match them to the 1 7/8" headers (left the bottom of the ports flat). You also need to blow out the coolant passages and run the rocker arm fasteners into the heads and clean out the threads that break off. Use sealant when installing these bolts to seal them when you install your rocker arms. I completely disassembled my heads and gave the a thorough deburr and cleaning.

Here is a tip for LSA heads and ARP studs, before installing the engine I installed the smaller studs backed out 2 turns with red locktite (or the studs will not protrude through the nuts, see pics) I used washers and the nuts to preload them into place while the locktite set up. The other studs are installed after the heads are put on. Easier to install engine block into car with the heads off.
