2010 LS ....Okay i have K&N CAI running to BBK LT headers with high flow cats ceramic coated , going to and axle back flow master .. as of today i do not have a tune on my car (trifecta coming very soon) any problems that those headers might give me I'm already aware of the CEL on and its giving more of a smell coming from exhaust now BUT WILL THEY HURT MY ENGINE without tune???? ... will i be okay without a tune for the time being .. thank you pls give me all info
P.S the car runs and sounds fantastic

You gotta get the CEL code. If its a lean code you could damage the engine.

Hope the smell is from the header coating burning off. If it doesn't go away very soon you have a leak or are to close to something and is melting something. Do some checking.

Its not the headers that are giving a smell it smells a tiny bit like carbon monoxide just coming from the exhaust if that makes sense

You can go awhile without a tune. I went several weeks before I could get into my tuner. Dont worry if the CEL comes on, its just the rear 02's lighting off. Even with high flow cats you will get that little extra stink, its normal. You'll be fine, just dont drive her too hard till you get the tune.

How is that possible when carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas?

Got to any major auto parts store and they can pull the codes for you. Usually for free.
