There is a TSB for this exact running under the stock spoiler. I have a thread on here from just a few months ago that the dealership repainted the trunk and it was perfect. TSB is posted in that thread too. Thought I'd share the facts.

I had this issue with my '10.. Went to change out stock spoiler to a '12 GM Dovetail and the stock spoiler rubbed all the way through the paint down to bare metal. Was very pisssed when I saw it. Went to the Dealer, showed them what happened. They said they'd seen this a few time. Even with the Dovetail covering it just wasn't going to accept that being under it. Dealer said no problem and painted the deck lid. Dealers would need to come up with some crazy excuse to get me to accept something like that.

Yeah, I remember this being a warranty issue shortly after 5 Gens started being sold.

so it's a design flaw..
the spoiler should be higher or made in 3 sections.. |

You can add me to the list of rubbed trunk lids lol. Went to take off my spoiler today to add the blade spoiler and tada... I didn't even remove it all the way, just enough to check the corners just in case and I'm glad I did...

Maybe the issue is only when you've gone fast and caused the spoiler to flex/react to wind who knows... I've only had my car up to like 135 or so.
I only noticed the issue on the front corners on the drivers side, the passenger side looks fine for now. Car is going in on the 8th due to me having an event this weekend and a car show next weekend.

Yes, but make sure you use bumpers for the trunk stop. Otherwise the downforce will make the trunk rub.
