Humanity continues to disappoint me, sorry OP. I do think having a reputable shop take care of it is the best course, GL.

Wow very sorry about this. I just bought a house with a garage a month ago. I feel so much better now that I don't have to park it outside. If you ever find out who did this, I'll drive to Ohio to help deliver a Camaro5 ass kicking.

Sorry to see this happen, I would be pissed also.

A friend of mine had this happen to his white Mustang Convertible. It was on paint and top. We cleaned it all off with WD 40. Could not tell it happen. Use a clean rag and start rubbing. Please try this before you do anything else. It won't hurt the paint or clear coat.

Is it any wonder I just want to have my own cabin in the woods, with landmines scattered throughout the property.

Any advice is helpful.

Install some cameras, load the gun, and wait. People like that are stupid enough to come back to the scene of the crime.

I had a car spray painted like that a few years back. When I called the cops, the officer that came over said to try Easy Off oven cleaner, it worked, took the spray paint off and did not damage the cars paint. Just try it in a small spot first. the car I had was about ten years old.
