I can't believe that STS would charge $95 for a fitting that should sell for about $20!! Rediculous!!!!! Anyway, I looked at a spare casting I have and the thread inside the casting where the oil pressure sensor screws into is a metric M14 x 1.5 thread pitch. A #6 AN fitting has a 9/16-18 thread. It is very close but the fitting will only screw in 1 1/2 threads unless you really force it, which is not recommended but possibly can be done. The O-ring on either the M14 or the #6 AN will work and seal in the casting, so no problem there. The correct way to do this is to purchase a 9/16-18 tap and tap the hole in the casting so the #6 AN thread so the fitting works correctly. You don't want a leak and you don't want to ruin the casting and create more issues. Ebay has the tap for about $5.00 and be sure to get a BOTTOMING TAP. Grainger also has the tap but Grainger will cost more. I hope this helps. I would be careful as to trying to crossthread the #6 AN into the Metric hole.

Hey jabeyta, If Alice says it’s M14 1.5 I would use that. I used 6an without forcing or messing up the threads as the stock sensor was able to be used when I reverted back to stock. However I only did a visual inspection of the threads and they looked the same and since I was able to hand tighten I easily I just used that but defo buy M14 1.5 if that’s the correct thread.

Heres wat i found. Wat you guys think? The o ring placement is different n idk if thats right? Every m14 x 1.5 to -6an straight fitting i find has the o ring there but the -6an straight fitting Pt_killa used has the o ring further up. Sent from my LG-H631 using Tapatalk |

The O-ring absolutely must be at the top for proper sealing on the casting! Just under the hex, like a standard AN fitting.

STS now is going thru a total rework. Old owner now owns it again. I am now finishing up an install on a STS turbo system on my 2015 V6. Have to finish up doing electrical, change plugs and upload tune. I have been in contact with the owner when needed. No problems, he's gotten back to me same day.
