Help going FI with my D-1SC

Hello everyone.

Just purchased a used ProCharger Kit with the D-1SC. My questions are with fuel. I'm wanting to eventually have the car over 1k HP Daily Driver. But, I'm a Sergeant in the Marines and I'm balling on a budget. haha

Anyways, can I upgrade my injectors to 60 pound Fast Injectors and still later make it to just over 1k HP later down the road?

2. Should I upgrade to the ZL1 fuel bump and go with the Kenna Bell BAP and be good for my future goals as well.

3. Lastly. My current HP goal is to at least break 750 rear wheel. I'm sitting at 474 rear wheel right now with the basic Stage 3 Cam from TSP with Stainless works LTH 1 7/8 and a AIRRAID CAI which is no about to go away.

Thank you guys so much for taking the time oh reading this damn book and lending a helping hand haha

Semper Fi, hardcharger! Can't help you much with your question, but just felt a little nostalgic. Retired in 2000, and did my first four years in Lejuene. I'm sure it hasn't changed much! Bought my first Camaro, a 1971, after seeing it for sale in a yard out the back gate while riding the bus to the rifle range. Was built by two hick brothers, ran like stink, but looked like shit!

Good luck, stay safe and SF!

Thank you for your service!

1. The 60 LB injectors will not get you to 1000rwhp. Your best bet would be to look FIC 1000cc(95 LB) injectors on a budget or I'D 1050X's if you ever plan to go e85. Also a D1 Procharger will not make it to 1000rwhp.

2. The ZL1 pump and BAP will not make it 1000rwhp either. I would look at doing a Fore or AGP fuel setup for that. Even if you are on a budget do not skip I'm the fuel now and don't buy a fuel setup now and have to pay to have it redone all over again. You would be paying labor for the same thing twice.

3. Your cam and bolt on setup is fine and as long as you have proper fuel you probably can get to your 750 goal.

Thank you for all of that Sir. I guess as long as I'm close to the 1k HP mark I'll be happy for a while. Haha I'm doing all of the install so I don't have to worry about the labor costing money. Learned my lesson last time. :/ And lastly thank you for your support. Its greatly appreciated.

Cool! Even though your doing your own work unless cut an access hole in the floor under the back seat you have to drop the cradle and tank. Pain in the butt!

Oh yea I seen that thread already. I'll be making a little door to the fuel tank and everything haha. Question though. Are the Dynamic Performance Injectors good enough to install on my car. I have the money to spend near top dollar. I just don't want too in case of a rainy day.

Of course ID injectors are too notch! I don't know of any tuner that doesn't like them. But if you buy a different brand you may need check with your tuner. The most important part is to buy a brand that has good data for tuning.

You could contact agp and take care of fuel pump and injectors in one shot, they use Aus injectors and so far I have had good luck with them even running e85, I believe the Aus are significantly cheaper than Id's so you could put that towards the fore or a agp system

Injectors aren't enough some ID1300 or 1700s is the way to go, need a better fuel system like Fore or Squash, and the D1SC won't get you a 1000rwhp. I had mine at 885 on E85 before I switched to the new D1X.

I have ID1050x and wish i would have gone with ID1300s. Im around 80% duty cycle ~800whp on E85. Just go big fuel system now. If you really want 1000whp then do AGP/Fore Triple 450 pumps with ID1300s or those AUS 1400s and do the flex fuel conversion while you are at it.
