Real screwed up to say but I'll wait for a inexperienced driver with a VSport to destroy one. Then pull the parts I want. Or talk to hit my friends up at GM to see what the damage would be for the parts. Should be cheaper than aftermarket. Nice to get confirmation on fitment just in case.

I see that the LF3 is now available in the "Build Your Own Vehicle" for the 2014 CTS Sedan! Not sure how long that's been out, but haven't seen it until now... I've been holding out for this as I hope to be able to adapt most of these parts to an LFX... I imagine even with the stock LFX internals a guy could run ~6psi for a nice boost and still keep it reliable without digging into the engine to change the pistons.

After some searching, I found a vin number for a '14 CTS VSport w/ the LF3 engine online... Hopefully I can use that to see if these parts are in the GM parts system yet tomorrow.

Yeah, checked again Friday and the HPFP for the LF3 is now available. I will probably be ordering cams and the pump sometime soon to see if they will work on the LFX.

you need to go test drive one and see what happens if you brake boost it and launch it. Well, maybe without a sales person. lol

I've got some LF3 exploded diagrams, and prices for most of the KEY parts... I've got to sit down with the diagrams and circle everything I think I would want or need. I have no part numbers yet...

Obviously a lot of the stuff is probably bolt on, but there will have to be some custom stuff made to make most of these parts work on the Camaro.

I will try to scan the diagrams and upload them later this evening if I get time...

Some prices for the important stuff:

Turbo, $1289 per side (includes waste gate, clip, bolt)
Upper intake (plenum cover) $163.21
Intercooler (inside intake manifold) $127.89 ea (2 req'd)
Intercooler insulators (2 req'd) $12.94ea
Water inlet/outlet (on back of intake manifold) $318.45
Throttle Body $174.61
TB Harness $26.69
Lower intake $207.64
Turbo to intake piece $205.17 (per side, 2 req'd)

There are a few other cheap-o items I have prices for, but this is basically the meat and potatoes of this "kit"... Don't have prices on any of the oil lines, etc yet... So for the meat and potatoes you're looking at about $4160.60 total. I'm sure you can nickel and dime yourself to death with bolts, coolant lines, oil lines, etc...

What is the price for the heads, and does it look like they bolt to the LFX block?

I want to know how much of the internals would work with the LLT and if the HPFP is compatible.

Comparing pictures of the LFX and LF3 it looks like you might have to move or replace the power steering pump and relocate the oil filter to fit the left side turbo. Once you remove the power steering pump you have to move the belt idler. The last thing I noticed it that the LF3 intake looks a bit taller and wider than the LFX, but I can't tell if that would be enough to make hood and tower brace clearance a problem. Do you see any parts listed for this, or do you think we would we be on our own to fabricate this stuff?

Note on page 3 I have circled the oil filer adapter that moves the oil filter location to the lower area of the engine below the turbo. As far as the power steering goes, since this is currently a Cadillac application, and I don't see a power steering pump on the engine, I imagine that it is equipped with electric power steering... Getting around that could be one of the major hang ups.
I do not believe that the factory Camaro strut tower brace will clear the LF3 intake, but it may be possible that the ZL1 brace will clear it.

Two comments. 1) Wow, the O2 bung is really close to the turbo. 2) you forgot to circle 612 (just for me).

Circled 612, just for you... Also getting a price on the cylinder heads. I should hopefully have a full list with prices and part numbers this evening if I'm lucky, or worst case scenario, late tomorrow afternoon.

Not sure which side is which.

12658270 B - (S) PUMP - LIST PRICE $272.00

It looks like my prices on this sheet are about 24% off of list price, and I don't have to pay shipping. It looks like most of these part numbers are coming up in places like GM parts direct. Anyone ever heard of gmpartscenter.net? Swinging deals, and only $8.95 for shipping... Almost sounds too good to be true.

Looking closer at the LFX engine, and these LF3 diagrams, it looks like the oil filter adapter actually mounts lower on the block and does not mount to the same location as the LFX engine... This may pose a problem.
