New BFGoodrich tires didn't last long...

I purchased BFGoodrich G-Force COMP-2 A/S for the rear a year ago and the middle is completely worn 10k miles later. I always kept them at the recommended 36psi and don't do burnouts. Found the Perelli P-Zero's at Walmart for $166 each and just had them installed today.

I have these tires. Mine are wearing evenly after 20K miles.

My cold inflation pressure is 35 psi. If you are at 35-36, you should not be getting excessive wear in the middle, unless the tires are too wide for the rims. Are they 275/40 mounted on the original wheels, or something else?

Yes, they are 275/40/20 mounted on the original wheels.

Tonight I adjusted the air in the rear tires (they put 38psi) and of course they put the right wheel on the left side so now the TPMS gauge is opposite

They are a directional tire. Can only go front to rear, not left to right.

I'm not talking about the tire, its the wheel. He mounted the tire that goes to the left side to the right side wheel. So the left side has the right side wheel on it. Thats why when I took air out of the Left tire, the gauge in the car showed less air in the Right tire.

You just need to get the sensors reprogrammed. The idiots who mounted your tires should correct the error at no charge.

Or you could but the tool and see yourself future hassles.

Still don't understand why you are getting excessive wear in the middle. Are you sure the front and rear wheels didn't get reversed at some point. Too narrow front wheels with rear tires would cause a bulge in the tread. (The front wheels are an inch narrower than the rears.)

So how should I interpret this? Are you talking about the new or old tires?

At 11:16pm I posted ...Tonight I adjusted the air in the rear tires...
Which means I was talking about the new tires..
