Installed Airaid CAI tonight. Question on the breather hose
I installed an Airaid CAI in my 2010 2SS tonight. First, gotta send props to JDP Motorsports. Ordered it on Monday for a great price and received it today (Wednesday). I am very novice when it comes to working on the cars, but I figured this looked simple enough to do myself. For the most part it worked out great. Took me a bit longer than expected to get it in, and everything seems to look good except . . .
I'm not sure if I've got the breather hose on right. The instructions state to removed the original hose and replace it with the one included in the box. I got it connected to the intake tube with no problem, but on the steel crankcase breather tube side I can not get it pushed up on the raised nub that the original was clipped on. Is it supposed to go over that? I thought it should, but spend a good 20 minutes pushing and twisting the hose in an area with no finger space and could not get it over that thing to save my life. It feels pretty secure but I'm still uncomfortable with it like that.. Advise please? Thanks!

enVader, you did a great job. Just make sure and double check all your connections after you've run Her for a couple of miles.
Thanks for your purchase! Take care, Rick |
