Most of the times posted in the ¼ on stock vehicles are mid to low 12s @ 112-115 mph which does seem low for a car with this much hp. That is why you did not feel the acceleration you expected.
That could very well be my problem. I was gonna do a little more shopping this weekend. I'll take another one for a ride. And I'll make sure I turn off all the nannies

I sold my '10 supercharged SS with around 620 RWHP to get my Z and I haven't been disappointed yet. Everything about the car is so refined. The throttle response is also a little better. I gave up straight line speed for all around performance an couldn't be happier. Haven't missed my SS yet. Definitely go find a dealer that wants your business more. I found mine on a lot and got a great deal. They are out there.

1le is 12.7 capable while the ZL1 is 11.8 capable.

You're rationalizing aren't you?

I take it you have not watched Triple Blk ZL1's videos?

Ok I'll do motortrend for both. The thread starter is talking about a ZL1 vert not feeling fast so that's what I'm talking about.

So Motortrend got a 12.3 for the ZL1 vert and Motortrend also got a 12.7 for the 1LE. Is that fair enough for you? .4 seconds difference running through the quarter mile is probably why the thread starter is saying he can't feel a difference.

Oops, I was wrong. Now I'm 3.5 car lengths ahead of you or 69 feet. LOL

1LE is faster than the OPs SS in the 1/4 mile. Gearing is different

Probably filled with 87. We put 87 in everything... but honestly if I get a
Camaro at work I'll probably put 89 in it.
Now auto vs manual...
I drove an auto ss... it was actually boring to drive. Just press the pedal, no thrill. Now the manual ss... whole different story. A lot more fun to drive.

This thread made me laugh. I love the sarcasm, but feel sad for those who don't get it.

Yeah, that car will need some high octane and a fuse pull plus a proper (variable, non-wimpy) break in to see its potential realized.

Bad gas in a ZL1 should be a hanging offense.

Why don't you compare the zl1 convertible and a 1le convertible?

I'll wait for that one
