Is it worth it? That's up to you in the end. I think it's worth it. You have to have a good sounding exhaust with a Camaro. JMHO.
Thx for the info. Ive heard the overall ride experience is smoother between shifts with LTs installed...thats really what Im after. Have great sound with my Borla S-types, but from video comparisons with LT and axle back, the sound was deeper (better IMO).

After talking to a couple shops and debating for weeks, decided to bite the expensive bullet and buy the Kooks with green cats - hopefully they hold up. They did actually try and talk me out of cats altogether and only worry about them in 6 years when I get emissions tested here...so at your HP and boost level probably better off without them.

Figured Im already getting a tune and CAI, may as well finish the job all at once and avoid a 2nd round of tuning. G-sus I need to stop the spending bleed!...doing an awesome job so far

Sure that's fine if you live in an area that doesn't have smog checks and air care requirements.

Plus the smell and the additional exhaust noise....not into either. Catless tone is perfect for the strip, but gets annoying fast as DD noise. Maybe if I was a 20 something again, would think differently.

Mine sounds really good with or without the cats but the smell I can't stand without the cats. Just wish I could get some that would hold up.

I was told that the kooks green cats have the best chance at survival, unless you track the car often...then probably not. Its really more about the driver and how often you WOT the car....especially hard on them going WOT from a dead stop.

I liked the kooks setup because the cats are easily removed with 1 clamp if you need to swap them out for a new set or just straight pipe that section. $550 bucks though...not cheap.

The Dynatech Supercats have been working well in SC applications.

They can easily be modified to fit any LT headers and exhaust.

I just need to know what size outlet you want 2.5 or 3 inch.

Feel free to give us a call. 203-753-7223

Thank you.

I fabricated some Eastern Catalytic high performance cats to fit onto my setup. Ran all summer tuning (3000ish miles) and about 10 1/4 mile runs. The whole time i never had my COT turned on in my tune. I'm pleased to report that the cats are holding up very well. Just checked them.

Not sure I'm ready to definitively say these will hold up forever or give them my full backing. But so far, so good.
