Clutch Sticking To The Floor

Last night on the third pass at the track my clutch stuck to the floor. I have the clutch relocation reservoir installed already. I also have a new clutch on order. I have been looking at replacing the slave cylinder. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you fix this issue?

only when I ran it with out a good cool down did the clutch start to act up...I religiously followed this...http://www.rangeracceleration.com/Clutch_Care.html

have done both the master refill and have now bled the brakes 2x to push as much new fluid into the system as possible..after the first bleed the clutch resavoir never got dirty again...and I regularly shift at 7k...all stock...and get rid of the pedal return spring underneath...that's there for weak kneed shifters ROFL! good luck!

I am always able to fix the the sticky clutch pedal by simply replacing the dirty fluid in the master cylinder using a suction syringe.

If you're using that dinky 1.5oz reservoir...fugedaboutit useless for track if you don't flush it. Get a 4oz one. See post 18 in this thread http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...42#post9363042

Also consider getting a braided SS master to slave clutch line.

Mine stuck to the floor. Flushed the fluid... helped temporarily... got the seperate resivour...same thing, ideal garage master cylinder... better, but the same again. Pulled the trans and found the throwout bearing was shot and melted the slave cyl too.

Just installed a Spec stage 2 clutch ( at specs recommendation based on my specs), billet steel flywheel ... oem slave with the monster billet bearing support... tick ss line and remote bleeder. It is fricken awesome now!

Did anyone ever figure this out? This happened to me after an autocross event, but not until after driving all the way back to the house an hour away. I would think it would it wouldnt be a heat issue after driving on the highway for another hour. Won the Autox btw!

Dirty fluid isnt the root cause. It just aggrevates it.
Factory pressure plate is junk.
Factory "return" spring isnt really a return spring lol.

I am probably going to replace the slave cylinder, throw out bearing, add the quarter master slave cylinder bearing retainer, stainless braided clutch line, and maybe the clutch master cylinder, and the lingenfelter clutch return spring. These should go well with my RXT clutch and short throw shifter that I will be installing as well. Is the only adjustable master cylinder for the 5th gens out right now the one from Ideal Garage?

The ideal master is not adjustable... it just flows more fluid. Also, I don't think the return spring will be necissary...

There is no master cylinder that is adjustable. You are thinking of the RAM pedal adjuster which lets you adjust how low off the floor the clutch releases.

I do not think I will be getting the return spring. More than likely that is not my problem, and they are not hard to install if I want it later down the road.
