DA will have almost no affect on a car running nitrous until you start combining it with another power adder.

DA shows that it is right between 2 time slots, so I have calculated both

DA of 2106 nets a 13.184 @ 107.269

DA of 1779 nets a 13.232 @ 106.889

Running an auto with street tires that have about 22,000 miles on them and a non-posi unit.

Not spraying out of the hole, when I do it just spins the tires.
I sprayed at about 3500 rpms. Once I get the SS posi and the DR's I should get better traction and better ET's.

Thanks!!

So I just made a couple runs at my drag strip, I think something is either wrong with me or the car. Im running a BBK Cai, Trifecta tune, Ported TB, Long Tube Headers and a SLP exhaust. My best time tonight was a 14.539. Any input? Do I need to datalog and send the tune back to Vince?

You'll probably need to provide some more info. At the very least, your 1/8 mile time and speed, your 60', and your 1/4 trap speed. DA would help as well. What times were you expecting to run?

Well my fastest is 14.7 with only black ice-olator and roto-fab with scoop. What were your 60ft times?

Here is some help:

1. Need to get those 60' times down. What wheels and tires are you running. If they are stock 20" Pirellis, these are heavy but do work decent. Need to heat these up doing a nice burnout.

2. Lower the rear tire PSI to at least 30 can go down even to 28.

3. Remove all the extra weight from the car. If you haven't already, nothing in the trunk, no spare tire, etc. even running on only a 1/4 tank of fuel. (every 100 lbs. is 0.1 at the big end)

4. Are you running with 93 octane. You should be if you are racing. The subject of timing being pulled on lesser fuel hasbeen well documented on the forum.

5. Put it in S (sport mode) and let the car do the shiting. It will be shifting right near 7000 rpms.

6. Provide me with the details of date, time and track and I can check on the DA. Weather is a huge factor too. The warm or hot air is a time killer.

Do at least those items above and you should be easy at 14 flat.

Good luck and remember ENJOY

Thanks for the advice, I'm going back there tonight. Unfortunately still have a 3/4 tank of gas left. I had the trac off all last night too let me keep that on and just keep it in sport mode. I actually have stock SS wheels with Hankook Vetnus V12's on them hooked up pretty well. It should be about 78 degrees tonight at atco

I'm confused? Whats the best way to launch you guys' car?

Mustangs need to kill the entire electronic stability system and let the tires/suspension/driver mod do the work. If we leave any part of the AdvancTrac on, it will kill power to the engine when it senses any type of wheel spin. (I imagine the Camaro system works similarly?)

Not necessarily - the Camaro nanny's will allow for a limited amt of wheelspin before it cuts power, esp if you only partially disable traction control. But i know what you mean about Ford's - on my escape - which has the same traction control software - it completely kills power when detecting wheelspin; not the same case for the Camaro...

And to the OP - those V12s are a good tire, thats not your weak link. Either way you need to drop the 60' time to 2.1 or better - you should be able to, esp with an auto..and your trap speed is low - esp for the mods - you should be trapping over 100mph. Not sure what is causing you to have such a low trap unless you are shifting too soon. What gear are you in and what rpm are you at when you are crossing the finish line??
