Thanks bro. I don't have any pics of the under side, but can take some. It has a show finished underside from the manufacturer and I had it painted RJT as well. Most of the aftermarket hoods are not finished very good on the under side from what I have seen. This is a MPD hood and as far as I know, they aren't made anymore because the guy who made them, Eric-(RIP) passed away a couple years ago and I don't know if his family decided yet to either keep the business going, or sell all the molds to someone else to carry on his awesome products.

Awesome thanks allot for that, So many hoods to choose from out there lol. Just want to make sure I order a good one. By the time it lands here in canada it is a shit load of money.

I hear ya brother!! I kept thinking I wanted a CF Cowl hood, but this one is so nice I just can't get myself to change it out! lol. The only hood any of my friends had an issue with was the cowl hood from Harwood. He bought the 3" cowl hood and his body shop had to do about 3 days of prep work on it to make it smooth enough to paint. It had a ton of tiny pinholes in the top side, and the underside was not very well finished at all. I saw it before they worked it, and man what a mess.. All I can say is be careful and look at them carefully before you order one, and possible call the vendor before if possible. Good luck with your hunt..

Great news!! Here ya go guys, looks like the MPD hoods like I have are NOW back in production!!! All I have to say about mine is the fit and finish was superb, top notch. When I got mine I drove down to Eric's shop to have him install it before he passed away. Great hood!!

Yes sir, the best on the market as far as I'm concerned! And the one I have is a FUNCTIONAL cowl induction hood. If you look at the pic of the underside you will see a raised "tunnel" area in the center so to speak running from the rear of the hood to the opening at the location of your CAI area, and on the backside/cowl area of the hood there are 2 large oval vents with screens in them to capture the air flowing over the hood and vortexing at the base of the windshield. The ram air one is the same, except the tunnel is from the front opening and curving around to the right and open over the CAI area.

Well finally got my copo hood after months of waiting. Just thought I’d put some pics up for anyone interested. It’s the factory gm copo hood. The fit was perfect. So at this point I guess I have a Camaro 2ss,1LE,rs,ss, z28,zl1,copo
