Any good audio shops in the area?
I finally want to upgrade my stock speakers with some decent bass and a new amp. Does anyone have any recommendations for a shop that could help me out.
I dont want to spend more than $1k total. I think a subwoofer, and amp is all I need. Thanks

I can only speak for where I've gone and they've been great to me. Place is called Safe and Sound. Two locations. Manassas (8104 Sudley Rd, Manassas, VA 20109, 703-368-1564 and Chantilly: 14508 Lee Rd # B, Chantilly, VA 20151, 703-631-4104. Owner's name is Rich Pietraszko. He backs up his work incredibly well.

Not yet on my Camaro. I will eventually (sub for sure). I had a 2008 Chevy SS that I bought new. Went to them (Safe and Sound) after I bought it and took out the stock radio and put in a Kenwood/Garmin GPS head unit. Also added a 12" subwoofer in the trunk. Awesome sound/system to compliment what I had. Have since sold the Chevy to a friend. Upgraded all my speakers in my '97 TransAm and added a subwoofer (designed for the car) to it and they re-tinted my windows too. They also sell wheels, but I've never bought any. It's a decent shop and the owner (Rich Pietraszko) is a good guy and backs up his work. Had problems with the XM radio in my SS and although it wasn't a fault of his, or the Kenwood, (was the antennae), he took care of me every time without question.

Good deal. Did all my work at the Manassas shop as the Chantilly shop is a newer location. I have not been to the Chantilly shop. If Rich is around, try and meet him. Not sure when he's at that location. They do a lot of business, but every time I've emailed Rich about something, he's responded right away to me. Let me know how it goes. If you want to email him, it's rich@mysafeandsound.com - He'll know who I am if that helps any. Just say the dude with the black Impala SS and white TransAm.

Adding a big plus 1 to Safe and Sound (Manassas). They've done a couple things for me on my truck (remote start, added Sirius tuner and antenna) and I've been very satisfied.
