Rockers

I think the splitter is conected to the lower grill and to remove it you will need to remove the front facia.

hahaha, I hope you're wrong. I'm looking at putting button sensors in the front like we have in the rear. I wish GM would have put them there in the first place. Until then I will be backing into stalls.

Good stuff! thanks. The dealership used my rockers to jack the car up for wheel work. I think I should just take it back to them and they can fix it.

I found a simple solution if I can't get those button sensors put in.

It does not appear to be a GM part, however (check the part number it shows). For the price difference, give me genuine GM parts for my Camaros, thank you.

Search button is your friend here.

Here's a heritage grille install video which shows taking off the front bumper. ZL1 is nearly identical. You would have to do a little extra work to take some screws loose underneath the splitter on ZL1, though.

Doesn't matter if yours is a ZL1 or non-ZL1 with the ZL1 front bumper. It's still the identical procedure to remove it.

It's exactly the same as an SS or non-SS as far as attaching to the fenders and the top. Since you don't have a bottom engine cover plate, no worries about the several bolts to undo that. But you do need to undo the bottom front and air duct areas of the wheel well liners. All the bolts are easily accessible for the ZL1 bottom bits.

In any case, you CAN do it by yourself, but obviously easier if you have some help.

While you're replacing it, install a front camera so you won't ever have to do this again: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=315604&page=2 (post #48)
