Q. Why should I use the search feature before posting my question?

A. Chances are that somebody has already asked the same question.

There are limited people here who can help you so please save us some time by searching your question before posting about it.

Not to be rude, but what difference does it really make. If there were never any topics posted because it has already been asked, there would be no point of a sub forum. All we would need is a FAQ with the top 25 questions and sticky it, and close the rest to new post. The way I look at it, if you don't want to answer a question, move on to the next topic.

I second this. Also I've searched for lots and not found what I wanted only to have someone post a link to the thread because they saved it. It usually has a thread title I would never have thought of. And who is to say they didn't search? I have seen many threads where someone said" Use the search" only to see the response "I did".

Good point. And too new information might surface that that did not get posted in the original post. The person with new information would probably not go back to the original post but would likely add to the new. Does this make sense?

Lots of people don't know the benefits of using the search feature and it's advanced search capabilities. Don't just search sway bar....search advanced sway bar in specific section and it refines your search query.

OP is right...search first.

I know what the others are saying and quite frankly, the only reason to start a new thread is to answer a specific question or because it's easier to post new and not search.

It happens quite a lot that the same questions are asked and answered only to be asked in a new thread again. If you guys happen to come across that, please post a link to the new thread and report the thread so we can merge them. Thanks!
