Manual Shift Lever Issue
OK I've searched and searched and haven't found a similar issue. I was replacing my shift knob in my '12 SS using the instructions to twist and pull... Well, I pulled the freaking shift lever right off the base of the shifter! I can put it back on, but it doesn't stay very well obviously.
Did I screw up/break the lever? Or is there a good way to reattach? Appreciate the help!

Looks like the shift lever is toast. The section that pulled apart is the molded section (rubber) there for vibration isolation.
I don't know of any way to fix this unless you try drilling a small hole (3/16) through both the shifter and rod then put a pin through both to hold it together. Better solution is just replace it with a Hurst Shifter |

I have a low mileage 2010 take-off shifter assembly. Should work fine. I pulled it out early on to put in a Hurst shifter. $25 plus the ride if it would help you.

Thanks I'll let you know today. I'm bidding on a Hurst shifter and if that falls thru I'll take yours.

I have an OEM Hurst short-thrown that came stock with my 2013, if you're interested. I installed a MGW.
