who finances for 36 months? Money is so cheap right now 72 months at sub 3% interest rates for excellent credit is the way to go!

Especially the Automatic. It will be easy $60K to drive one off the lot.

It may be a bargin, but in today's economy $60K is a ton of money.

To people with lots of spending money, its no big deal. But to the average working man, its a lot of money. Many were hoping (especially last year when the news first came out about the ZL1), that the car would be less expensive.

i think this car will break into the 11's stock quite soon and i even bet the dreaded mags will get a faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile time. not by much but prob .1 in 60 and .1 or .2 in the 1/4

GM tends to quote the average performance for their vehicle so a 0-60 in 3.9 seconds (shouldn't be the faster or the slowest) and 12 seconds in the quarter we should get ready to be impressed by some of these testers.

The Z06 had a 3.7 seconds 0-60 rating and its gotten there as fast as 3.4 seconds in the hands of some testers.

As you can see, I have already run a 12.11 @ 117MPH on stock tires with my current set-up and with the addition of the SC and a set of "sticky" rear tires I will be in the low 11's for the same price (before taxes) of the ZL1.
How's your magnetic ride?

Fair enough - just pointing out the passion we have for our toys. And the comparable value we are trading.

At the end of 36 months your investment will be worth 70% less. You could be paid off or you could owe for 36 more months. This has taken an ugly turn, pull up, pull up ahhhhhhh.

These are fun toys and worth every penny. be wise in your affordability thinking my fellow camaro5 members, enjoy it if you got it.

70% value lost over 3 years is a bit much, I believe the Camaro (according to rating companies) will drop about 40% of its value over 3 years. Though I can see this being market dependent and in some markets the value being lower.

Unfortunately my neighbor drives a new Porsche Turbo. Even the ZR1 Vette doesn't get the job done in a straight line drag race.

But who's willing to spend $160K for a toy? That does make the ZL1 Camaro seem inexpensive.

But like I said in the previous post. For the people who have money, its no big deal spending $60K. Its the working man with a wife and kids, that's got a real hard job convincing the wife he's needs a $60K Camaro.
