Angry Dealer Order Event Advice Received

Hi All,

Below is the latest steaming pile of my dealer emailed me today....
I talked to our GM rep. and your vehicle will be moving to 2000 status next week and then the rest of the status will go quicker from there.

Ordered 2/26/09 #NHJPMC. If anyone can and is willing, please run this order number if you can. Hard to believe that I'm still at 1100 after 16 weeks.

Your dealer had no allocations.
I ordered 3/30 and have been stuck on 2000 since.

You dealer might alos be on the closing list, if they cannot produce the letter saying they are still open. They might not get one at all....just be careful.

Your dealer has obviously had no allocation to use for your car. If it goes to 2000 next week then they are using one and it will go quicker.

Exclamation

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking of pulling out of this deal but they have 2K of mine and course a contract. Seems to me that accepting an order without an open allocation in the reasonably foreseeable future is unethical and dirty pool. Anyone gone to battle with a dealer to get a deposit back?

Hey sixtyniner, I think I ordered the exact day as you did (different dealer obviously). i've also been sitting at 1100 but it is because there were a number of orders ahead of me. my dealer said he would be receiving allocation either this week or the next so if you just stick it out a while longer, our cars should move fairly quickly. Hang in there!!!

Hard to believe, please man I ordered slightly before you and haven't moved, hell there are people in october that haven't moved how you think they feel. This whole allocation process sucks but were stuck with it. Guys on here ordered in april and took delivery already. But like I said october and havent moved so your 16 weeks is no big deal.

My dealer called last night to go over my order. He said it went to 2000 and would go to 2500 on June 24th.

Yup, the allocation process sucks, particulary if the dealer takes your order and your down payment knowing he has no allocations and doesn't tell you. It could be weeks or months before he gets an allocation and he has your money and the car isn't even getting into the production cue.

You're still at 1100. Thats not BS.
The BS part is the part about you moving to 2000 next week. Not bloody likely.

Your dealer sold you an order he had no allocations for. If your dealer is scheduled to close, he will never receive your car. If he is not but has no allocation left to put your order against, you will have to wait until GM grants additional allocation which could be Aug-Sep unless your dealer is awarded one or two extras for some reason. Good luck but your dealer sucks!

Looks like mid-July might be the time for this order...
