I actually agree with you...and I also agree that it deserves the win (and I congratulated Ford in my first post on this thread) but unless I don't understand the process, it sounds as though the editors voted for, or ranked the cars individually. They factored in all the "bits" as you said, as well as how the car rewards the driver experience (how the car made them feel behind the wheel...their opinion) and out comes the GT350R as the winner.

I am in no way saying that I feel the only reason the car won is b/c they are Ford biased...not at all.

Sorry if I'm not getting it.

Its not as cut and dry as the C&D Lightning lap. Different classes....get lap times. Done.

That's why I compared it to Driver's car.

Anyways...I'm not trying to argue and I don't want to either so I'll just shut up lol

I think this is a rightfully earned award. A lot of design and even RISK went into this car. Looks like it has payed off. Ford has really stepped up the past few years. Congrats!

No, I'm with you. No desire to argue as well.

Shouldnt be an issue. Even the GT runs high when being tracked. It never gets to a point where it'll shutdown the engine though.

that Bentley is seriously impressive. check out that rear passenger tire.

Thanks for passing along the article for free. I think a better comparison is the Z28 and GT350R which were built to compete with one another. I would have like to buy a GT350 but for daily driving and fun on the weekends only having the option of a 6 speed sucks.I am glad of the American manufacturers at least GM makes a good track car and daily driver with an auto. Drive a Z28 or 350R in and out of Atlanta every day. I would have bought another Mustang GT but it does not measure up to the new SS. There are many cars that smoke pony cars for other purposes. Porsche has gone PDK because most buyers want performance first. If you are a great driver the GT350R is amazing, obviously. Glad Ford developed it. Just like the Z06 for Chevy. 95% of drivers will go faster with dbl. clutch autos and there by enjoy them more. Ford is losing customers because for daily driving they do not offer a track car for daily use. The Camero SS is what I needed. Send me a GT350 R I will test it for Ford. Oh and sell it for MSRP...good luck on that.
