Challenger & Barracuda to both be made!

According to this article Dodge/Chrystler will soon have the Challenger as a cruiser and the Barracuda more for serious performance being smaller with a 6.2L engine. So looks like Dodge will give 2 Muscle cars for people to choose from and its 3 if you include the Charger. With the new Cuda & the new Mustang coming soon GM had better have that revised newer non retro 6th Gen Camaro ready and light from the ATS platform.

Front looks like Plymouth but the back is like a Camaro's

Hope they do the Barracuda right too, and if they slap on some dual ram air intakes, even better. Looking forward to it.

I still dont think Challenger will last much longer. I predict MAYBE 3 years total that Challenger and Cuda are both offered by Chrysler. The only way it will be longer, in my opinion, is if they both sell A LOT better than Chrysler predicts.

I am very curious to see what cuda looks like tho.

How can Dodge do this with looming CAFE standards? Fbodfather has stated that ZL1s cannot be produced in unlimited numbers because of CAFE standards. I was under the impression that the SRT8 chargers, SRT8 challengers, and presumably SRT8 barracudas also have a gas guzzler tax.

I wonder the same thing. Chrysler has a much smaller fleet size than GM and Ford as well, which means each vehicle produced by chrysler impacts their CAFE average more.

Actually, give me that Alpha Romeo 4c pictured in the article, 300hp and 1800 lbs. Incidentally, I also forgot the SRT8 300 and presumably the SRT viper have the gas guzzler tax. Which vehicles in GMs line up have GGT? (CTS-V,ZL1, ZR1, any others?)

I think that they can use the rest of the "Chrysler group" (low emission diesels in Fiats, Lancias, Alfas) as part of their global emissions average...

I would welcome a Trans Am no matter what the make is. If they could offer a T/A on the alpha platform with more of a Euro twist like it had been I would be more interested than a Camaro. The Cuda has sparked my interest. A GM Trans Am would spark it even more.
