L99 Mods

I need help on what mods to put on my car but I,m not real sure I want to get rid of my warranty yet. Right now I'm thinking of a corsa exhaust and a CAI by CAI. Just please give me your opinions on what I should do.

Thanks!

Vararam appears to give you more bang for your buck performance wise(at least, the dyno testing done earlier today would indicate so), as far as exhaust goes you cant go wrong with corsa, though if you are looking for a better bang for your buck i hear the solo mach xl exhaust sounds great and does a good job eliminating AFM drone, plus it costs almost half the corsa system.

yea I have listened to the solo and it does sound impressive, and anything to keep from spending over a grand for a cat-back would be great it's a toss up bewtween corsa and solo. as far as vararam goes, I haven't heard much about them but I'm willing to give them a chance. What kind of numbers did you get with vararam?

For L99 I think you have already selected the best setup. Keep in mind Corsa is a bit quiet for some.

I will probably go with the corsa and CAI, but I'm not really looking for obnoxiously loud... just a nice tone. As for headers, do you think that will cause trouble with my warranty?

No problem with warranty but AFM will be too loud with headers AND Catback. You will want to Tune out AFM with headers and also tune so you don't throw codes... The Tune is what will mess with your warranty...

Also if you want to keep it closer to a grand go Catback... headers are much more.

I did the muffler delete on my A6 and installing the CAI by CAI. The AFM changes are noticable but really not that bad - just a strange sound on the highway and some around town. You can get rid of it by changing to manual shift mode, shift down to 5th and back to 6th. However I plan on a new exhaust in about another year and tune out AFM. I just want the warranty for now.

The LS7 crate engine did the trick for mine. Dealer said I still have my full waranty.

Whoa...Hold up. You dropped an LS7 into your 2010 camaro and the dealer let you keep the ENTIRE warranty? Where did you buy it? How much was it? And can you hook it up to the auto tranny? sorry for all the questions but that's some good stuff.

And I'm not calling either! lol
