Ok so this is a weird one. Started about two months ago and it totally random. Put the key in the ignition, turn it, and nothing. No lights come on in the dash, no turning over, zip. Then all you have to do is open one of the doors and the lights all come on in the dash and the car will start normally. Totally random when this happens but has happened about 5 times.

Do have a second set of keys you can try for a while? Could be the car isn't reading the security key.
