Halo rings not working on v6 camaro

I had my ccfl angel eyes installed on the camaro, and noticed that after a while my halo ring start to blink and shut off. By the time I get to work only my h I d headlights are on and the rings are off. Also the sellinoid on the right headlight blows my fuse every time I switch to high beams.Theights were a christmas gift from my girlfriend off a user on eBay. Anybody out there have any suggestions on the problem/solution for the halo rings?

i got mine installed about 3 weeks ago and i had same problem. I had to have my mechanic install a relay and hook the halos straight to the battery. In this set up they will be on any time the battery is in with the exception of auto light control which causes the headlight only to ckme on the trn clockwise once to the right and u get halos only and if u turn it all the way to the right u get halos and lights

sorry for run on sentences typing on my phone lol.

Ok I will ask my mechanic, did the lights flicker at all after your mechanic hooked them up to the battery?

No they didnt they work perfect now. Before they hooked them up correctly without the relay they would flicker then turn off after a little while and the right one always went out before the left one.

My mechanic never used a relay I feel like this could be the answer.

When I had my LS, the headlights are a modulated DC power source. This is how they get the headlights dimmed to be running lights. You really should have a relay to provide clean DC to your aftermarket headlights. I also included a capacitor to ground to give an unmodulated DC supply and a diode inline to protect your BCM.
There are many threads on this in the electronics area. By just hooking up theses aftrmarkets with no relays or Caps you run the risk of frying the BCM. This is a frequent issue on the LS model according to my dealership.

Problem solved for my flickering halo lights;went on other threads that recommend steps I could take to fix the rings and now the proof is in the pudding. Bought a 220 uf capacitor for each halo ring to give it more clean dc voltage. Peter from pro audio shop soldered the extra volts on and it worked like a charm.
