This is very interesting. I imported my Z/28 to the UK myself, although there is one official import dealership. I wonder if they fit these as standard to all the cars they bring through.

Do you know if there is any way to find a list of any other 'European market' parts?

Is there a rear tow hook bumper bar available?

This appears to be the tow hook, GM Part No.: 25887376, but I can't find any good pictures of it online.

This is an awesome thread, and I'm definitely interested, but as RaycinSS has mentioned, that $135 on Ebay is an aftermarket one, not a GM part like the $200+ plus one. May be just as good, or maybe not. I'm interested in the thread pitch required to see if an aftermarket tow hook will fit. Mainly because I like the aesthetics of the aftermarket ones compared to an OEM silver prosthesis juttin' out. I'm stupid like that. I'm trying to decide on either this route or the ZL1 Addons route. I've read good things about their most recent version in terms of quality. However a welded on receiver to the crash bar is pretty nice too.

As an update. I tried the hook that is used when they ship Cadillac Escalades for export and it was too big and did not work.

I will try to take the bar to home depot or Lowes and figure out the size and pitch of the thread and report back soon.

I'm sure the factory hook is a plain silver fixed loop and not really pleasing to the eye for leaving in full time. My plan was to find one of the aftermarket hooks with a hinge that look much nicer and use with this mount. I'm going to get the factory hook for a backup but there's several aftermarkets that look nice that will work once we get the thread size figured out. I've been really busy and haven't had the chance to do that yet but will make sure we get that info posted here for everyone's benefit.

Just got great news from Maureen at Rodgers Chevrolet. She just shipped the factory tow hook to me today. Thanks Maureen !

She described it as a black hook (fully enclosed eye). I will makes sure it works and I will get pictures posted and measurements and the thread specifications identified as soon as I get it.

I'd love to see any others post pictures of any other hooks that they have found that may work for those who like the mount but want different hook options. I love the look of the red ZL1 add ons hook and the Rennline hook and hoping to find out if they will work with this set up if we can get the threads right.

Thanks for all the research you're doing. Gonna wait to buy the ZL1 Addon tow hook and see how this turns out.
