Haven’t owned a sled in a decade, otherwise I would have mixed feelings as well.

It’s getting to be exasperating typing it out all the time, besides I figured people would get the drift.

& witty.[/QUOTE]

Maybe its time to get back on one!

No snow in eastern NE yet, but temps are cold enough that I'm going to be driving home from the dealer on my winter wheels when I pick my car up some day soon.

Did they dump salt already? The snowfall doesn't bother me, but as soon as the salt is dumped that's it.
Definitely the sand & salt sucks the most.

That brine they put down before the snow fall I think is far worse for your vehicle then they rock salt they dump after the snow fall. Either way, they put WAY to much $hit on the roads here. Once they start the roads look like they are painted white from all the salt until the spring thaw.

As a NY transplant in the south... I don't miss the early snow.

In fact, I drove my ZL1 to work yesterday... And will again on Friday.

Thanks to Covid, I only go into the office 2x a week.

Yeah, they don’t use anything like that up here. Plows & sand, that’s it. I was actually surprised the village did our road last night. Usually it’s at least a few days.

That stuff is so bad that many plow trucks have had to be retired early because it destroyed the frames and cost residents a ton of money in taxes to replace them

The company I worked for when I was in NY for 20 years did me a favor by laying off half the company, me included. Took my 2 yrs severance, found a better job in NC, and said goodbye. It was awesome driving the Camaro around last winter. I think it snowed once. 1/2", yet schools were closed for 2 days and less than half of the people showed up for work, lol.

Amen... Much better driving weather here... And the roads are in better shape for the most part.

Well, at least Mother Nature decided to not do this to you...

Even without snow, the weather is getting a little chilly for me to get my Camaro ready for hibernation.

Sent from toaster or something

That reminds me of that tiny ice storm down in GA a few years ago. Shut down almost the whole state.

I had to laugh at that one.

I wish. That was a flood. I only had the C7 for 10 days and that happened. The flood was caused by an ice jam, so it's related to the cold weather as well.

Speaking of ash, we had to deal with that for a week as well thanks to all the wildfire smoke that blew over from CA and OR.
