Emissions....

Curious who else on here has to deal with emissions where they live?

I'm supercharged, but I want to know what else I can do and still be able to pass emissions?

I have a Maggie with a 3.8 pulley, stock exhaust manifolds, L99.

What I'm really looking at doing right now is a LS3 conversion with probably a LS9 cam, long tube headers with high flow cats. I want to see how that feels and then maybe dropping down to a 3.6 pulley. Would I be able to pass emissions with this setup?

I should say that I don't particularly care whether its "legal", just as long as the car can be made to pass, without having to put the stock manifolds back on and retune.

I really have no idea about emissions, hoping someone experienced can chime in. This isn't a problem for everyone, so info is kinda limited I guess.

I had a 2006 Eclipse GT that I put short tubes on, they would throw codes after driving for awhile. We pulled the battery cable, and took it straight to get emissions and it passed, then after leaving it threw a code lol.

I however only want long tubes for my camaro.

Almost the Whole Northeast has to deal with emissions testing.

Ted.

you can tune out all the emissions codes very easily. . . however since its not really legal the shops aren't going to post here saying they will do it for you. . .

but don't worry about it we all do it. . . get ur headers and delete the cats!
