Are you going to The Late Model Muscle Car event at Bradenton October?
I doubt it, I will still be gone for work, unless I can get home that weekend, if it is early Oct. it is possible.

Not sure I wanna put ~1,000 round-trip miles on my car to have this installed. LOL I'll have to do some research around here and see if someone is willing to do it for a decent price. Tear :(

My Whipple guy just sent this pic to my phone; he took Bumper Cover off and insulated the cold hoses behind Bumper. Water was dumping off bumper when he was staging. He is changing his pulley to 12lb now with his new found low IATs. I will update #s after its tuned.

Dave can you post a picture of the lines that he insulated and with what did he insulate them with. I had thought of doing the same thing even to the rubber water lines in the engine bay.

I also got my A/C clutch replaced and saw a 8-12* drop in my IATs from before when we first put the chiller on. I for the first time on a 88* day saw 48* degree IAT. I have never seen my IATs in the 40's before and also a 40* difference from ambient to actual IAT*.

I know we want it as cold as possible but water dripping off the bumper will get dangerous and prolly told to turn off A/C at that point. We need to figure a way to make this not happen.

Your car has the cold lines under hood; the Whipple has pump and a cold hose behind Bumper Cover. Natural air flow dissipates the condensation on your car but there is not enough air flow behind Bumper Cover so water accumulates. Don’t look for problems, I would insulate hoses if I had a solution that looked good but so far it like Frankenstein.

You would be better off with the Competition Wiring Update. Your car being the first, I would replace complete wiring with the new. It’s much improved, simplified and quality. That includes OEM sealed relay under hood. Send me a check for $25 shipping handling and I will send you a complete wiring kit $150 value. Or come by and I will install it free. I’m much stoked about the new revision of this update; it works exactly the way I want. IMHO insulating under hood lines would be insignificant. It has to help but….

I will come see you when I get a chance, Prolly be November though. I did have condinsation on my lines under the hood at the track but it was very little. The coolest thing was to grab the lines with the engine running and HOT and the lines were cold to the touch!!

Thanks, OK I will be looking for you. Here is a under hood portion of the Competition Wiring as shipped.

Only connections under hood are + post, green compressor wire and 6mm existing ground. We use OEM sealed Relay under hood, Weather Pack Connector to Freon Solenoid and late model small Fuse Holder, all terminals are heat shrink.
The loose wires at the long end go through an existing grommet in fire wall with final connections made inside cabin to competition relay, switched power and LED. Only connections inside cabin to car are ground and switched power from Fuse Box. This makes for a very clean install.

Not sure what you mean.

I think they will help your engine live a longer happier life, just to the sheer fact how it will eliminate possible detonation, as long as you don't get silly agressive with the tune.

If that was what you were asking.

My car threw/toasted the AC belt on the dyno. Builder indicated the stretch to fit belt will not stay on at the strip. Honestly,I'm getting tired of removing it when I go to the track and reinstalling for cruising. Opinion/recommendations. I am considering your chiller as a winter mod. (Sounds kinda backwards-lol) Do you have a PDF etc. that we can access or can be PM'd so I can evaluate if I can handle the install? Thanks
