My wife doesn't see the fascination about the camaro (mine or the people who pass by and take pictures of it), but it keeps me out of her hair so that makes her happy.

And unfortunately, yes, she is very overprotective of me. Hate it. And she hates my cars, makes negative comments about them all the time. Part of the reason I have not ordered my Camaro. I have dreampt of this car for years...and she will NOT be allowed to drive it, so I will have a barrage of negative comments until I sell it or relent.

To give you an idea WHY she cannot drive anything I have: She drove THROUGH a snowblower...in the garage...on the opposite side of which she parks, and destroyed an SUV in a Wal Mart parking lot - on a bright yellow pole with a CROSS WALK sign on it. Most people would see that. Those are just two examples.

But maybe her being over protective is more of a control issue. Things won't work if ya'll aren't compatible, no doubt about it!

LOL I think I will be o.k. It was her idea that I buy the car to begin with. As for her changing her tune, we were both married previously to people who didn't support our goals/wishes. We support each other in everything we do and discuss everything openly. It's a breath of fresh air.

However, I have had the wife that hates anything that has to do with me being happy. Never. EVER. Again.

Mine use to complain that I never did any custom things for her car! Or paid hers any attention! But I bought her a 10' CR-V now she is happy! and doesn't want me touching her new car lol! So we both happy and she stays out my way! But was rough at first lol! Plus she's scared of the Camaro after I took her for a few spins! She drives stick but scared now of the M6 lol!

I'm the car freak and he thinks I'm nuts to be so obsessed with my car. He just smiles and nods and says "yes dear".
I can understand how guys would be frustrated because as a woman I get that women aren't that into cars. I'm the odd egg I guess.

My wife's just pissed because I ordered a manual and she doesn't drive stick!

I worked this out years ago. I bought her a new Honda Fit 2 years ago so she wouldn't complain about my next car. I told her mine is a bargain! Only twice the price but 4X the Hp!

Now she wants to "Hop Up" the Fit with a cam and exhaust. I need to see if Edelbrock makes an E-Force to fit a four-banger...
