All season tires on a 2ss?

What are the effects of all season tires? Will it hurt anything on the car? Will it reduce horsepower?

Ive had all seasons on mine. Wont hurt anything, wont reduce horsepower, car will be a little bit slower, but it will be a lot easier to power slide!

Ride quality and noise level will both be noticeably improved.
You'll have to monitor the replies you get on this one.
Sorry, but the San Diego driver will have a different set of needs compared to someone in the Midwest or northeast where it actually gets cold.

All season on mine. l I live in WI, so it gets cold here. Much better ride then the OEM Run Flats, much quieter, and I notice no traction difference given the way "I" drive my car. Believe me, I still push my car when driving it too.

How much did you pay for the tires?

im driving on all season tires in central florida.between the heavy rains we get and the difference in treadwear, they are fine for me.if you are out racing they will be harder to hook up and you will lose a little grip on the corners, but unless you are on a track it would be hard to notice the difference.

Had BFG Comp2 AS on mine from delivery(dealer swapped them out for me)

They are not great for the track but ride sooooo much better.

Now have Michelins- got 23k out of BFG....

I have all seasons on mine due to our Midwest winter weather. I went for the high performance all seasons. DWS06's. Surprisingly good in the dry, still slide around getting on it from a stop or punching it from 30-40, definitely less grip than the stock tires, but not bad enough for me to buy summer tires for our short summers.

Gains, as stated will be better rid3 and noise. You will lose handling and a bit of traction. I had Continentals on my SS sedan for the winter months and was going to just leave them on before I sold it, which I wish I hadn’t done but that’s another story.

Sorry, but I honestly am not sure. I bought my 2SS early this spring and the tires were already on it. They only had 1000 miles on them, so they were essentially new. I don't know what the previous owner paid for them. They are the Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06. You can check out the price on TireRack.com

I just put the General G-Max AS05 on mine and have no complaints. I was running the Toyo Proxes 4 and the Generals have better traction wet and dry. It is what you feel comfortable running on your ride

I have Toyo Extansa NP all seasons mounted on 20 X 10 Stance wheels and absolutely love the tires. I don't track the car but they have good grip in dry and wet weather just general driving around. They are very quiet and have very low rolling resistance. My gas mileage went up about 3 MPG over the stock factory tires on 18" wheels. The all seasons will last longer and I have 20 X 10 square all around so I can rotate my tires and get the most out of them.
