Had time to install new radiator and managed to order new heat exchanger for SC, should receive it in couple of weeks. Started to beat the rear quarter back to shape, soon it will be ready for primer.
Warmed up the engine last weekend and didn`t notice anything wrong. Only sweet exhaust rumble! |

Finished painting the rear quarter. I painted new white color from trunk lid and bumber edge over the repaired area, also tried to blend it to lower body line in quarter pillar and downwards from there. New paint is little bit whiter than original, can`t really notice from the pics.. End result is not perfect, but good enough. It was first time I ever did that kind of repair.

Started removing rear interior parts to get access to last broken glass pieces under the rear package tray. Long way to go.
Also bought AEM X-series 30-0334 wideband. I`m planning to install it before first test drive to make sure afr is how it should. I might buy Aeroforce dash vent gauge pod for it. |

Received new back glass andheat exchanger for supercharger last week or two ago. Bought the heat exchanger from Summit Racing. Installed it with new AC condenser. Got the front bumber/fascia back on.
I managed to remove the rear package tray, cleaned everything under it. I think it was easier when there is no glass in the way. Tinted the back glass with 20% window tint before installation. Washed quickly in and outside of the camaro, starting to look good. Still need to: -Install new windshield when it arrives -Try to polish the whole car to get out some of the dirt and scratches -Figure out why Mylink/radio screen is dead. I think it doesn`t work beacause previous owner had kenwood unit installed, well at least installation manual was in the glove box and receipt under the front seat. There is also new mic installed near rear view mirror. Maybe it was broken earlier Last edited by Jukkiz; 05-08-2020 at 12:50 PM. |

Oh, did a little test drive in the drive way AND IT WORKS/RUNS GREAT. Sent the camaro current engine tune to "local tuner" if he sees anything wrong with it.

"Tuner" came to visit last week, he is a corvette enthusiast. Plan was to check that everything works, sensors, datalogging and then do some driveability finetuning and the next day go to dyno tuning.
Well driveability and normal driving is better now, but dyno visit was waste of time. Well at least I know good dyno place now. After two part throttle pulls we noticed fuel pressure issues, I believe its in the tune. My tuner doesn`t know how to fix it, he hasn`t tuned fpcms or pumps before. Fuel pressure spikes to 600kPa when in boost and DSX aux pump kicks in. Immediately after that in tank fuel pump duty cycle starts to decrease and when not in boost anymore fuel pressure might be as low as 200kPa. Not good. Normally fuel pressure is at 400kPa. Need to maintain constant fuel pressure in boost. Contacted Dave Steck at DSX about the fuel pressure situation, he suggested to raise "high flow desired fuel pressure" to 500kPa and raise also minimum pump duty cycle if needed. Is 500kPa enough? Should I modify fuel pressure mode conditions tables at least to zl1 parameters? I need to datalog fuel flow/ pressure parameters someday, when it is not raining. I think the power numbers will be good when everything is tuned correctly. https://youtu.be/p5xyyMwLKqs

Contacted 21st Century Muscle Cars in July, if they have any information about my Camaro. The name of the company was in the dyno sheet that came with the car. Thanks to Matt Garzonie, he gave me this information:
-Car has stock bottom end in it still -Cam specs are 231/239, .640"/.629", 115 LSA, 112 ICL -Heads are Texas Speed "stage 2", with .660" lift dual springs -Johnson 2110 lifters -Fast 85lbs injectors I hope that the stock bottom end holds up.

Visited 1st time in drag strip (1/4 mile) with my own car. Always watched my brother and friends driving their cars. Well in Finland we have mostly no prep airfield tracks, so my plan was to just see what the end speed would be. Rear tires are 295/35 Michelin pilot super sports, which equals to no grip in 1st gear and some grip on 2nd gear.
I tried two first passes with 1st gear: test pass 188km/h(116,8mph) and 205km/h(127mph). In 3rd pass I started with 2nd gear and excess wheel spin, speed was also 205km/h. In fourth pass I pushed incorrectly traction control button, my datalogging cable was in the way, and it was left on. So I did 5th pass with slow 2nd gear start and as soon as i felt traction under tire, floored it, 3rd gear in 6000rpm, 4th in 6500. Results 209,7km/h(130.3mph) 12.57s Video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/HGxcKUba3vQ In car video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/OTlMlL6s7sE That yellow Vega (in video) is current number 3 "anything goes, street legal cars" in Blacklist-drag race series. I`m going to visit drag strip again next saturday. Hope I don`t break anything.

Great find. How did a Texas car end up in an auction in Finland?
Does the car have a clean title? Maybe it's a Hurricane Harvey victim?
