I work at a Buick/GMC dealer, no Camaro discounts but I get 10% parts discount unless Amazon still beats it. I'm sure your friend gets a parts discount as well?

I’m a lurker like you but don’t currently have an LS car and haven’t for a few years. I’ve owned 2 LS2 GTOs. Great cars really and given your situation with a paid off one, I would not jump into a new payment for a 5th unless your shopping zl1. I don’t see the gap in performance, comfort, interior being wide enough personally.

Now a 6th I’d make that swap. The alpha platform is just so good. I have seen some SS dip under 30k and a 6th 1ss 1le go for 30k. You couldn’t be picky though just have to jump on a used deal. I’ve never even driven an SS but the base v6 RS rental I drove was a heck of a car.

Alcatraz steering wheel and shift knob from the zl1 was apart of the 1le package standard.
