Deciding where to mount amp
I am trying to decide where I should mount the amp. It wouldn't be too hard to mount it in the factory location just by making a board for it. My question is would it get to hot if i mounted my amp in the factory location? I have the JL XD700/5 amp. Right now thats where im leaning to mount it.

Pull the wires back to the rear seat, and run them through the cross bar area to the middle of the vehicle. Go to Loews or Home Depot and get some plastic bushings or washers, and mount it between your 6x9's...it will fit perfect, and it's out of sight and mind....that's how I did mine....

Mounted JLXD700 in the stock location. No worries about heat.
********'s mounting plate makes it easy.
