not sure about 25/30 percent but definitely 10 percent initially because it moves from new to used status. when I bought my 11 in 2013 with 3975 miles on it I saved a little over 8 grand, car was pretty much like new garage queen. the Camaro being a niche car there will always be low mile pristine ones out there, just got to jump on them quick. always use sites like autotrader and the like to track them down.

Bought my fully loaded 13 1LE with about a 1,000 miles at about 8k off the sticker (I wanted a 13 and by the time I was ready I could only order a 14). I had to drive to OH to pick it up. Well worth it, absolutely spotless. After I signed all of the paperwork, I also schooled them on what a 1LE was and that maybe had they mentioned that fact in the ad, they wouldn't have to get beat up on price so much because other enthusiasts might have been interested too.

Mine is at about 415 HP with the intake & tune, which hasn't been pushed to its full potential... the additional 40 HP would be pointless.

I paid $31.5k for My 2010 2SS with 4800 miles on it against a $41k window sticker.
That's literally 22% off the top for a car that's not even broken in yet and only 8 months old. I traded it in after 4 years and they gave me 22k back when I picked up my '15 1LE. What's worse (or better), I paid the same 32k (ish) for my brand new 1LE with the 20% sale and then some from the dealer.. Window sticker on the 1LE is $46k. Yeah, 25 to 30% might be a stretch but you get the point. Unless you really don't care, or get the 20% discount, you're going to lose your ass when you drive this type of car off the lot. So you'd better really like the car. They're having trouble giving away Gen 6's. My friend at work found a new 2016 2SS for 30K just last week. Mustangs are doing even worse.. Not sure what's going on, but I'm not going to complain. |

News flash!!! Learn how to read before posting. Obviously cars depreciate...well not all cars. The question was whether or not the amount on this one made sense. And you'd be a fool to use KBB as a reliable source over NADA. Thank you for your extremely useful post to the thread.

The techs say they are smaller, tighter, and looks don't 'grab' you like the 5th Gen -- too 'euro' looking some say. I like the 6th gens, but nothing made we 'swoon' like the 5th Gen (after having owned a 1st Gen). The ZL1 looks hot though -- that would be what I'd get if I were buying a 6th Gen -- I'd wait until they are out a couple of years to see where the price lands. Z/28 5th Gen would be a bargain right now if they still have 20% off and deeply discounted ;o) -Don

Only 27k on my 2011 bought new in November of 2010. No thoughts of trading.
