MT ET Drag Slick 28x10.5x15 stiff wall (MTT-3055S)

I've been struggling to hook up on the street so i'm trying a new tire. Just got a pair of these, but I didnt buy tubes. This car is a weekened toy that rarely gets driven, so the tires might sit for a month between drives sometimes.

Do you think I will have deflation issues?

I've only been to the track once, so it primarily for good weather street use.

Currently on a 325/50/15 ET R radial, but cant get traction on the street. 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.

1000rwhp u arent going to get traction with those either ...

Im sure it will deflate eventually, will depend on how well it seals againt the wheel, just check it before going out or every few days if the car is sitting. Dont want the car to sit on deflated tires.

I backed off one pulley size to lower the power, and I dont expect a dead hook. I was hoping with the DA front coilovers and slicks I could at least stay in the throttle and go straight while it spins some. Right now it just breaks loose, points the car sideways and i have to let off.

But my concern here is the tube. I guess it's better just to buy some tubes...

I'm moving to slicks for the track. Based on the information out there, including talking to M&H, slicks will lose air over time and bias plies flatspot when they sit. If you don't want to have to add air periodically, put tubes in, but that does add unsprung weight. I always check pressure before I go to the track so not a big deal to me. The flatspotting goes away after you drive it for a few miles.

I have found putting some of that green anti flat goo on a sponge and rubbing a coat into the inside of the tire (not leaving a bunch of it in the tire to slop around) helped with loosing less air as it sits.

My traction issue was greatly improved by the addition of front Strange coilovers. The double adjustability really helps the front end lift. I did buy the slicks, but I'm gonna leave the 325/50/15 radials on until I hit the track.

My buddy just destroyed an axle leaving at 3500 (830whp) so I'm a little hesitant...
