Wrong cylinder heads?

I'm no expert but these are the wrong cylinder heads right ? I picked them up today from TSP and I'm really disappointed because it was a 6 hour drive.

One of the holes is blocked off.. Could I take it to a machine shop? Or is it best to get different ones

The ls3/99 have the rear vents blocked off only crossover tube used are the two front which is what that looks like. You could have the rivet drilled out and add another tube to evacuate the rear of the engine but honestly I wouldn't worry about it.

One end is blocked off on each cylinder head. Just keep up with were they are when you install the heads.

I get that one is blocked off in each cylinder head but when the heads are placed on the block I can't install the front cross over tube because the other side is blocked ?? And the one in the rear is going to stay open . That's what I'm stuck on. Did they give me two of the same side ?

If that's the case then yes you'll have to buy a rivet put it in the rear and have one drilled out and the heads cleaned (or try to be super careful). But the heads are the same they just put the rivet in the wrong spot.

Yeah, they must have given you heads that were set up for the same side as far as the cross over is concerned. Get a plug and remove the other. Problem solved.

Of course you know if you use two driver side heads that your car will only drive in left handed circles. Lol

GM Part Number 12602540 is a block-off plate that can be used in these scenarios.

I contacted Tsp and the blocked one just pops out with a screw driver and I bought that part from my local Chevy dealer but he told me it shows no dealer has the bolt in stock..

the bolt from any LS motor will work if anyone or any local shop has 5.3's laying around.
