I originally wanted to do this too like James did. Put I am a little hesitant because I don't want it to get scratched. Plus, I am not sure I am going to give RPI my business again. Takes way to long to get the job done and communications with them is horrible.

Just a side note here, I think this whole post/edit/delete issue would be resolved if the website was bidirectionally associative, meaning if you post some thing that gets qouted and then you update (edit) your post then it would automatically get updated in the quoted post also. Maybe I am thinking too advanced but it would help.

Well I have one from RX Performance but I didn't have one on for the first 40,000 miles. I have not cleaned it out yet to see how much oil I have in it but I can tell you this after 40,000 miles the intake had a moderate coating of oil on it. I will have to post up pictures when I get a chance. Lucky I had very little build up on my valves. With that being said, I drive the hell out of my car and I have my oil changed regularly using the Mobile1 full synthetic. My driving habits are also a bit more aggressive than most, both in acceleration/deceleration but I also drive more than most so my outcome from not having one could be very different from others.

Yes, I definitely recommend you getting one. I have the RX Performance catch can I bought from JDPMotorsports.com however I caution you on getting an oil breather as many people have problems with blowing their rear main seal. Are you going to the car shows this weekend. If so many of us could talk more indepth there an show you more.

Let me know how that works out for you.

Here's a little secret... I won all my trophies last year with stock everything under the hood. I got my intake from CAI, Inc. in September of last year and only had it for a couple of shows.

The hydrocoating wasn't done at all until November right before I put the car away.

I put in a cold air intake from CAI, Inc. www.ColdAirInductons.com

Proven power gains and it looks cool.

I will polish another strut brace...but it is going to cost a lot of money. If it comes out better than mine, I will just give you mine so you can have the first one done.

Actually, I am in no hurry to EVER polish another of those by hand again. Ugh.

Camaros and Vettes: Sorry about your divorce - If you need to get away, let us all know. We are here for you. Life sometimes can be a PITA...but in the end, you have to try to think positively - you still have your daughter and you have your friends here.
