- Tuner called today - we're looking at the second week in November for me to take a road trip for a dyno / tune session to see where the car is at.
- Getting new carbon blockers for 1-2 and 3-4, at my expense. Yippee.
- May get a 4th grind on the cam.
- If going to get a 4th grind, will do a head swap back to stock at the same time.

If your curious to what's been consuming my time lately, take a look at my latest upgrade. Yep, "Titanium, just like the space shuttle..."
Yikes, swift recovery.

May be headed there soon myself..

Its great to see an update from you Jim. I knew you had other things going on, so I wasn't too "antsy" to hear any news real soon, but that said it sounds like you will have some interesting stuff for us real soon!

As always, looking forward to it. Hope you are doing well and healing up good!

Thanks all, yeah the car front has been very slow and frustrating but I think there are see some positive gains to be had. Unfortunately having to rebuild the team sucks but that's the way it is: gained a lot of information but at the cost of about a year in time.

Think I was camaro dreams said he might be looking at the same - let me know and I'll give you the scoop on the details NOT in the brochure...

So YG, November has come and gone. Any progress on the back or the car?

Hey G,

Been going a step at a time on both. As far as the car, have ruled out cam profile mismatch (long story) but I think elsololobo hit on something. He talked to the company who did the port work on the heads: the guy seems to think there is some valve size mismatch to the port work causing the loss - at least in my case. Been busy with work and haven't had time to talk directly with him but will do ASAP. That would explain a lot though- (supposed to) have a couple of weeks away from work and might dig ou the bore scope and drop a header to see for myself what's in the ports. Wouldn't be too difficult to resize a little on the valves to see what the outcome is.

Glad to see you are making progress on both fronts? I'm taking it slow myself with this tuning issue I'm having.

When they ground the heads did they cut an angle for the valves so they flow more? I think mine had a 5-degree cut.

Hopefully will be able to see that with the scope. If I'm lucky, porter will have the flow numbers and can determine if a 5 angle seat will be sufficient. Thread on the hp tuners option looks close to fruition. If I could get my hands on a copy would definitely be on the roller in a few hours.
