Direct injection and 40 degree air blowing on the shifter are but a few reasons I will not.

Why do you guys hate direct injection? It lets you have a much higher compression ratio, and you'll never need injector upgrades. If you can easily get 500 hp with a header, what's the problem? Don't tell me it's untried, causes carbon deposit, etc.; those are now old stories.

On topic, Although I feel the question the op poses is a bit loaded, I can say I am quite pleased with my 1LE. I feel I have something special and very suitable to my personality. I wont be trading.

That said, the 1LE is not just an SS. And they will sell about 30k to 40k 2016 SS's with various levels of options. I know the 1LE is just an option upon itself, but the parts list and combination are unlike any Camaro made to date wearing the SS badge.

I like being different.

I work on direct injection engines daily and they are far from old stories lol... Injectors need to be replaced all the time and they are always gunked up and clogged to hell on low mileage vehicles.

Maintenance and noise mostly. Love the performance of them

Lighter and more power. I'd like to own a boltons 6th gen SS for sure but my 1LE is fantastic. The fact the price went up is bad. I fear the price of the next ZL1. If only we could get a 1LE with a H.O. LT1 like the GT350 for around 47-49k, I would totally buy it!

GT350 is my next car, I think. If I need 4 doors, Charger Superbee.

That looks pretty sick it will probably look better with those smoked taillights they released on their website its growing on me but i still wouldn't trade with my 1le

+1, I think it looks beautiful. By the time I get bored of my car, I'm sure the special versions would also be out, so I would have good choices.

I decided not to sell my car when I started investing in it, but I said that so many times before with no success. We'll see this time.

I HATE that stupid 3 stantion spoiler that looks like it came off a 95 Honda with a fart can muffler. Am I the only one? if they get rid of that piece o' shite the rest might be OK.

I do not need these kinds of problems . The corvette guys are just now starting to deal with this problem .

Every car has its issues. Looks like all you need to do is to make sure you have high quality catch cans on PCV and breather lines since the manifold is no longer being washed by fuel. Is that really a big deal? Anyhow, this topic is probably derailing the thread, so I am shutting up

P.S. Just realized the video was made by a catch can manufacturer. They were rightly pointing out the need to use a catch can, or two.

I myself absolutely love my '15, it's unique and definitely stands out as "different". It would take a lot to get me to switch over, but I am curious about the next Gen ZL1. I think our model is the sharpest model ever produced by GM, I do not care for the "Euro" curves they're incorporating into our American muscle cars. Big, bold and powerful... 'MERICA

Great feedback folks. I was just curious how other folks like me felt about the GEN 6. I hear the new SS supposedly outperforms the 1LE but I doubt I will be able to notice in city driving. Maybe I am just getting old but a base GEN 6 1SS after taxes at around 40k just seems like too much.

No matter how many spoilers, stripes or wider tires and wheels you put on a Gen 6 it will always look like a modern mustang to me.
