Camaro "Disciples" to attend Camaro5Fest!
The Camaro Enthusiast Advisory Board
(better known as the "12 Camaro Disciples of which there are 15") ....will be attending Camaro5Fest as the Guests of "Team Camaro" For those of you who do not know of the Disciples -- a bit of history: --Once work began in earnest on the 5th Gen Camaro, it was decided that it was crucial to get extensive input from many disciplines - from 'Garage Visits' to traditional 'consumer clinics' and beyond -- but we felt 'Team Camaro' should take it even further. We felt it was vital to talk with a group of Camaro/Firebird/Corvette enthusiasts that were known within the community. It was important that they get their thoughts - but more importantly - YOUR THOUGHTS and bring them to the drawing board, so to speak... I won't go into the details at this point as to how we 'invited' people to submit a 250 word essay - but suffice it to say we got LOTS of 'em. We wanted to have a mix of men and women - from across the U.S. and Canada....we wanted a spread of ages -- and we wanted 'disciples' from each Camaro Generation as well as Firebird and Corvette. For instance, Chris is our "Firebird Guy" - Janet is our "Corvette Gal" - Kevin is our "1st Gen Camaro Expert' - and so on and so on. Each is or was at the time a moderator on a site, a site owner, a club officer, etc.......they had to be known in their geographic area.......so that they were accessible. We've gathered them together at various times during development and we continue to meet with them and exchange emails. They drove the concepts and they've driven 'pre-production' cars - .......They have more influence on Camaro than even they'd suspect....and we couldn't be happier. Most impressive? They all like each other and get along extremely well....to the point that they extended their last gathering (on their own) and spent an extra day or two after our meeting..........That's not to say that they agree with each other - and it has been known to get a bit loud at times......and that's a GREAT thing...it shows their extreme passion and enthusiasm for this legendary brand............ You'll recognize them on Saturday (and a few of them on Friday) by the Bright Yellow Z/28 shirts they're wearing....and of course by their nametags. We encourage you to introduce yourselves to them and let them know WHAT ONE THING you'd like to see on the next Camaro........(please don't trap each one for an hour!!! -- ) And without further ado.....here are our "Camaro Disciples" Ms. Janet Curran -- California Mr. Jason Debler -- Michigan Mr. Tim DeYoung -- Illinois Mr. Jeremy Donovan - Virginia Ms. Cara Ferguson - Texas Ms. Maggie Finn - Oregon Mr. Elie Garfinkel - Ontario Ms. Teri Heino - Oregon Mr. Kevin Kolvenbach - New York Mr. Chris Livote - New York Ms. Selena Muhoberac - Louisiana Ms. Millicent Odell - Texas Mr. Dan Porcaro - Michigan Mr. Art Schroeder - Manitoba Ms. Sherry Slocum - Ohio It's going to be a SPECTACULAR TIME at Camaro5Fest!!!!
