Prob cheaper than what I got charged for the built 6l and much better. I kinda wish I was offered that choice.

I bought all the harden parts from Jake some guys here in the home front built it for me. Now I have what they call a level 4 or 5 trans for about $2,200.00 That less then any mail order trans that I bought that was useless.

I"m giving the shifter mod a go right now. Just going to make a 2 gate and see how it is

Nope. Fairly simple. I should have looked at it originally, didn't realize it had stops for 1-2 built into the mechanism, or i would have done this a long time ago. Works great.

Cool. Glad it worked out. I never paid any attention to it as I never had a need, after talking with DarkCry I figured I'd take a look and that's when I discovered it. Now that I'm sure it works I will add it to the DIY section for anyone to access.

Let me go bolt it in and make sure nothing hits. If it does hit, it will be inside the car against the console.

Should be no problem with a boot. The stock bezel may be able to be modified, never looked as DarkCry will be using the boot.

I didn't take any pictures, but it works fine with a boot. No issues shifting or manually selecting.

When working with the shifter, on the right side is a lever that must be pushed to allow the shifter to unlock. I fold a piece of cardboard and wedge it in to keep it unlocked. There is a black plastic cover held on with one screw, it is not pictured but the screw hole is right under my finger, this can be seen in the photo.

I removed that entire part of the mechanism, including the little sensor with the arm sticking out of it

I was looking at my shifter this weekend, but was unable to remove the shifter nob. Can you advise, I don't want to break it? Thanks
