Not yet, I told them the deadline was the Cruise to the Woods. I think that it should be done this week. If not I guess they don't want my cash. I'll pack up the parts and go elsewhere.

Well I pulled the trigger and got the grill and ZL1 side skirts from member JJKJ from Marion, Ia. John was great to work with, besides getting a great deal, he also installed them (something I would have had problems with, seeing where all the hidden clips were). John even provided us a great lunch, too. I think it has really improved the looks, and it has prompted me to keep the 2010 instead of starting all over with a new 2014.

I also added the new hockey stripes a couple of weeks ago.

Hey Bob, as we talked, I think the mods really compliment your car and existing mods. Great looking car, and sounded good as you departed as well!

It was great to finally meet a fellow forum member in person. Bob is a great guy with a long history with Camaros and other performance cars--I enjoyed hearing Bob's interesting stories.

My schedule has kept me from participating in events organized for Iowa members...but one of these days!

Remember we also have a car show in Ottumwa the same weekend. If cruising isn't your thing. We will have a lot of fun activities for kids including a rock wall, pine wood derby for the young ones, food, DJ. I have also made Oak plaques for the show. Plus its for a good cause with half the proceeds benefiting the college car clubs and the other half going to charity.

For those of you who like autocross the SCCA is having an autocross this Sunday at the Iowa Speedway. It was scheduled to be at Adventureland but the location changed.

Had just spoke with a friend on Sunday that runs the circuit. He said the next IA scca is on oct6 in marshaltown-as stated on their site I listed above

That 13 is a 1LE. Young guy around 20. He's still working out the kinks. There was a '10 SS that used to run. Not sure if it was driver or car but didn't run to well. He had trouble keeping the rear end behind him. NQS events are about half mustangs and half imports (Subarus, Evo's, Miatas, etc) In 3 years I've seen several GMs come and go but i'm the only one who has stuck around. All makes and models are genuinely welcome at NQS's events. It would also be neat if some of the MOPAR crowd would show up. I still haven't run with a challenger.

EDIT: there is a guy with a vette who is a regular and is one of the fastest V8 stock class cars.
