How will getting bigger rims affect your camaro?

Hey guys,
I thinking of getting some 20's for the LS. How will it affect my car? Thanks

20's won't hurt it at all. The car was designed for them. Just get a tire that keeps the outside diameter close to your 18's. So, you don't have to reprogram. I should make it handle better with the right wheel and tire combo.

You will have less rubber between the rim and the pavement (by about 1 inch)

I get this question all the time ~ there's a dyno comparison on LS1Tech I believe (might be here also) with a Camaro with 24" wheels IIRC dyno'ing 495whp, then with 20" stockers dyno'ing 500whp at the same dyno, with the same tune. A 1% horsepower drop is a cheap price to pay for the neck-breaking effects that 24" wheels have on 5th gens!

I'll try and find the thread and throw a link in here soon. Check our other wheel threads for pics and more info

Back to back dyno runs aren't a true comparison, and if by neck breaking you are referring to god awful ride quality, then you are correct sir.
