White irremovable specs on gloss black wheels

See below,
I have found these white specs seem to be on odd areas of my passenger side wheels. The specs can only be scratched off with finger nail as seen on the top spoke and top right spoke... Has anyone had this problem? Or have any clue what it could be? Scratching it all off seems like a hassle and a bad idea.

Looks like hard water residue or cleaning chemical residue. I'd try a little bit of CLR or similar on the back side of a spoke to see if it works and doesn't harm the finish.

Soap residue or hard water. Lemon juice or vinegar should take it off without damaging the finish. I wouldn't use anything with harsh chemicals in them because it could damage the finish on the wheels. Good luck

Try WD40. It cleans off the tar and grime on my lower rocker panels. People think that
WD40 is a lubricant, it's not, It's a solvent...... Love those chrome wheels.

It may be but that ain't how they been marketing it. Pretty sure it's fake but it is funny.

I tried the vinegar and lemon juice first and it did not work! By scratch x by itself worked with some elbow grease! Thank y’all!
